#SMARTWRAP MAC OS SIERRA INSTALL#
System Requirements for MacOS High Sierra 10.12.1 for Mac Macos Sierra Download For Pcĭownload MacOS High Sierra 10.12.OK, so I just tried to install High Sierra for a couple reasons: #Does blender work on mac os sierra for mac# If I were to get an eGPU at some point, I might want to test out with older Blender versions before they dropped graphics options, as Apple dropped support for OpenGL in Mojave. If I wanted to do anything that would not work in Mojave. For example, I do have one game that doesn't work, which is also a legacy app. My plan was to back up everything I wanted to keep (desktop, documents, library, etc), start from a clean slate (which would probably make it run faster anyway), create another volume, and install Catalina as well (just so I'd have dark mode and a 64-bit only OS), and restore from there. I saw an article with 3 ways to downgrade. 1 was to boot into recovery and reinstall (clearly they might have meant erase disk and then restart recovery before reinstalling), 2 is to use time machine, so doesn't apply as I don't use it, and 3 was to create a bootable install USB. I tried the third method, but what ended up happening once I booted into that, was that it went into recovery mode, and the option to install macOS was showing the high sierra icon. #Does blender work on mac os sierra install#
However, once I tried to go through it, the disk was locked. Which is what I then did in normal recovery mode, then I tried to reboot into the USB.

I think I used the internet recovery command, and the Sierra icon was displayed, but the same problems persisted, perhaps because using the USB triggered the "disk is locked" issue. So next, I tried to reboot again, and then Internet recovery just decided to update to Monterey. #Does blender work on mac os sierra update# Now, let me make this clear- I really don't like Apple's new iOS-like designs. They don't mesh well with the icons of certain other apps, making it look most unprofessional. And of course because of it, you have some icons even changing their designs to have that bubble square iOS app icon look to it. More than this, I would prefer to have the option to run a pre-Catalina release. Should I reset PRAM and what will that do to affect the process?.Will having had Monterey do something to make that not work?.Then just hope it falls back on Sierra and it actually works, and press on from there.īut there's 2 questions I have with this: So theoretically what might work I guess is to just boot into recovery, erase drive, and rather than reinstalling, reboot again, and perhaps use cmd-alt-P-R. So I want to know if anyone has been able to successfully do this. I am using a Late 2014 mac mini refurbished in 2017 with, again, Monterey.
